a comprehensive close-up of industrial experience

With the foundation of Swarovski in 1895, the cornerstone of a global crystal dynasty was laid. One reason for the company’s initial success was the in-house competence in manufacturing premium grinding tools for the crystal production. This know-how lead to the inception of a company specialised in the fabrication of industrial grinding tools as part of the Swarovski group: TYROLIT.

Since 1919, within 100 years, TYROLIT has established itself as a globally leading manufacturer of grinding tools of all kinds and machines for the construction industry. Today the TYROLIT group has production sites and sales locations on all continents and is a valued technology partner for customers in all corners of the world. The highly specialised tools and system solutions play a vital part in the surface finishing of various materials in numerous industries.

For the centennial of the TYROLIT brand, we are taking a closer look at the production site of our headquarters in Schwaz (Tyrol). All photographs feature strong women and were realised in black and white – 19 in numbers, representing the year of our foundation and our anniversary. The characteristic of a perpetual calendar artistically connects the past, present and future of our company.
